Khushboo Parihar — The Woman Behind BELLAVORAEvery brand begins with an idea.
But sometimes, the most meaningful brands begin with a very simple problem — a problem experienced personally and a question that refuses to go away:
“Why is it so difficult to find the right lingerie?”
For Khushboo Parihar, that question became the beginning of BELLAVORA.
Khushboo Parihar is the founder of BELLAVORA, a premium D2C lingerie and intimate-wear brand created with the vision of making a wider variety of lingerie easily accessible to women across India through online shopping.
Her story is not one of coming from a large business family, a major fashion house or years of experience in the lingerie industry.
It is a story of an ordinary woman from a small town who saw a problem, believed that something could be done about it, and decided to take the first step.
Khushboo comes from Balotra, Rajasthan, a town far removed from India's traditional fashion and business centres.
Today, she is settled in Goa with her husband, Multan Mal Parihar, who is based in Panaji, Goa, and has been an important part of her entrepreneurial journey.
The transition from a small-town upbringing to creating a modern online fashion brand has been anything but easy.
Khushboo did not begin this journey with extensive business knowledge or a background in entrepreneurship.
She began with something much more powerful:
A personal experience and the desire to solve a problem.
The idea for BELLAVORA did not begin in a boardroom.
It began while Khushboo was trying to purchase lingerie for herself.
She found that the choices available to her were limited. Finding different designs, styles and options in physical stores was not always easy. Like many women, she wanted more choice, more variety and the convenience of being able to explore products privately and comfortably.
That experience made her think:
“If I am facing this problem, how many other women across India could be facing the same thing?”
And that question changed everything.
She began imagining a platform where women would not have to depend entirely on whatever limited selection happened to be available in a nearby store.
Instead, they could simply open their phone, browse different styles and discover lingerie from wherever they were.
That idea became the foundation of BELLAVORA.
India is a vast country.
Millions of women live outside major metropolitan cities, and access to specialized fashion and intimate-wear stores can vary greatly from one place to another.
Khushboo saw the internet as an opportunity to bridge that gap.
Her vision was simple:
Why should access to variety depend on where a woman lives?
With online shopping, a woman sitting in a metropolitan city, a smaller town or a remote part of India can potentially discover products from the same digital storefront.
BELLAVORA was therefore created with an ambition to make lingerie and intimate-wear shopping more convenient, private and accessible through the online world.
The idea was not merely to create another online store.
It was to create a destination where women could discover more choices at one click.
Starting a business is difficult.
Starting one without a traditional business background can be even more challenging.
Khushboo knew that she did not have all the answers when she started BELLAVORA.
She had to learn.
She had to understand customers.
She had to understand products.
She had to understand online selling, branding, digital marketing, technology, logistics and the many small details that go into building a D2C business.
There were — and continue to be — uncertainties.
There are moments when an entrepreneur wonders whether an idea will work.
There are moments when progress feels slow.
There are moments when the road ahead looks much bigger than the resources available.
But Khushboo believes that every big journey begins with one small step.
And BELLAVORA is that first step.
Behind Khushboo's entrepreneurial journey is her husband, Multan Mal Parihar.
Based in Panaji, Goa, Multan has become an important part of the effort to build and market BELLAVORA.
While Khushboo's journey began with the idea and the personal experience that inspired it, Multan has been supporting the effort to take that idea into the marketplace.
From marketing and brand-building to understanding how to make the business sustainable, he continues to contribute to the journey.
Building a business together is not always easy.
There are decisions to make, challenges to overcome and countless things to learn.
But there is also something powerful about having someone beside you who believes that the idea is worth pursuing.
For Khushboo and Multan, BELLAVORA is not simply a business project.
It is a journey they are building together.
At its heart, BELLAVORA is about more than lingerie.
It is about choice.
Choice of designs.
Choice of styles.
Choice of comfort.
Choice of shopping privately.
And, most importantly, the freedom for women to choose what makes them feel confident.
Khushboo believes that lingerie should not be something women feel uncomfortable discussing or shopping for.
It should be treated as an important part of everyday life, personal comfort and self-confidence.
Through BELLAVORA, she hopes to create an experience where women can explore different products from the comfort and privacy of their own homes.
Perhaps the most inspiring part of Khushboo's story is where she comes from.
She comes from Balotra, Rajasthan — a small town.
She did not grow up with the advantages that often come with being surrounded by established business networks, large fashion companies or entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Yet she decided to enter a competitive industry and build a digital-first brand.
That decision itself required courage.
Because entrepreneurship is not about knowing everything before you start.
Sometimes, it is about starting even when you don't know everything.
Learning along the way.
Making mistakes.
Trying again.
Improving.
And continuing.
BELLAVORA is still a young brand.
There is a long road ahead.
There will be challenges, competition, mistakes, lessons and moments of doubt.
But Khushboo believes that someone has to start someday.
India's women deserve more choices.
They deserve convenient access to products.
They deserve privacy while shopping for intimate wear.
And they deserve brands that understand that lingerie is not merely a product — it is something connected to comfort, confidence and individuality.
BELLAVORA is Khushboo's attempt to contribute to that change.
It may have started with one woman trying to find better lingerie for herself.
But the dream is much bigger now.
The dream is to make better choices accessible to women across India — one customer, one product and one small step at a time.
